Some of you may have experienced that some (system) calls will execute slowly the first time being called. This is caused by Just-in-time compilation issues. We are aware of this issue and are looking into Ahead of Time Compilation or AOT. Hopefully we will have resolved the issue for the next release. You can read more at the Mono website
