Maybe you can install LeJOS on the MicroSD card for the EV3, connect PC and EV3 using WiFi and then replace the files on the MicroSD card with https://github.com/Larsjep/monoev3image.
Another way might be to use a partition tool to make one partition on the MicroSD card larger.
I havn’t tested both ways so I don’t know whether they work or not.
