I’ve tried to download and run MonoBrick Remote and can’t seem to get it to run – I’ve downloaded and installed GTK# for .NET successfully, but when I double-click on the .exe file, Windows attempts to load something for a while, then just does nothing.

    I’m running Windows 7 64-bit on a Lenovo Essential G570.

Thanks for any advice you can give,

    Liam

Did you unpack the zip file to a folder? I does not work when you run it from the zip folder.

Have you installed .Net 4.0 runtime?

Try to run the application as adminitrator!

    Thanks for your response Anders!

I have unzipped the downloaded zip folder and am attempting to run the .exe file.

Yes I’ve installed the .Net 4.0 runtime – it was a requirement for installing GTK# for .NET.

I’ve tried to run as administrator and I’ve even played around with a few different compatibility modes with no success.

I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to do…

Which version of GTK# are you using?

I think it’s 2.12.21 – the one that you’ve provided the link for on the MonoBrick Remote page.

    Thanks,

    Liam

Did you reboot your system after you installed GTK#?

I think that there might be some trouble when loading settings. I will post a more detailed answer once I get home from work.

    Hi

Try to go to C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\AppData\Local and delete the folder and delete the folder PCRemote. Remember to reboot after you installed GTK#
