Svetoslav SinapovParticipantNice to meet you, guys.
Has any one had any problem with unzipping the downloaded EV3 firmware image files
using the above mentioned apps. Tried many times, all of them – the same result.
Would greatly appreciate any hints or tips regarding this problem.
Thanks, SvetFebruary 13, 2014 at 20:02 #3967
Anders SøborgKeymasterNo sorry…
Are you having trouble with all images

Svetoslav SinapovParticipantThanks, Anders.
I tried them all but seems like I cannot download the full *.gz file.
Some downloads terminate on 15 MB, some on 110 MB, depending on the computer I use. Eventually 7-Zip will always report an error. Perhaps that is my problem.
Is there an alternative way to get this image file?

Anders SøborgKeymasterRight now the only way is to use the link from my website… try to use another browser. Maybe that will help.

Svetoslav SinapovParticipantSure, I’ll try some other browsers and providers to see if I can get a steady download of it.
To my understanding the image provides all the files that are needed, including the .Net CLR framework.
Is it so, or additional files are also needed?
Thanks a lot for your prompt response, Svet. I’ll let you know when it’s up and running.February 21, 2014 at 09:15 #3979
Sumit GoyalParticipantHey Anders!
Good day,
I have the same problem. I have tried to download the firmware several time, with different browsers and different systems. But the image file is broken. Please verify if you have he same problem while downloading it from the server.
Many Thanks

Anders SøborgKeymasterHi
I just downloaded the 147mb 4GB image file and unpacked it without any problems.
So just to clarify – both of you are unable to download the 147 mb GZ file? or is the unpacking that is failing? Does the download complete?

Sumit GoyalParticipantHi!
Download of the 147 mb GZ file is perfectly okay. File is broken while unzipping. Both with 7Zip and WinRAR

Sumit GoyalParticipantOha!
It works fine now. Apparently there was some problem with the complete download of the image file. I tried it with the server of my university and it works now. Thanks. 🙂

Phil WhippsParticipantThis is still an issue I have been trying for the last few weeks and and it never completely downloads. Any help would be greatly Appreciated.
Is there no alternate download anywhere?

Anders SøborgKeymasterIs this the case for all downloads? What browser and OS are you using?
